Advanced Carry I

Advanced Carry I is the first in a series of progressive handgun classes.  It is designed to enhance your marksmanship skills by focusing on core skills, which transform average gun handlers into accomplished shooters. The successful shooter will learn about handgun nomenclature, firearm maintenance, ballistics, and the fundamentals of pistol marksmanship. The student will learn why gross motor skill movements are more effective under stress, how to load and re-load efficiently, along with how to quickly gain target acquisition from a holster. Through discussion and practical application students will develop the skills to diagnose and correct malfunctions. Participants will perform specific drills designed to improve accuracy and confidence in their handgun weapon system.  This Course will be instructed by accomplished instructors with a background in competition and Law Enforcement training.  There will be an emphasis on safety and accuracy; improving each shooters skill regardless of current ability.

Necessary equipment:

Small to full size semi-auto pistol, holster, 2-3 Magazines, Eye protection, Ear protection,  Baseball style cap, 150-200 rounds of ammunition, weather appropriate attire, water.
